# Introduction

> One account, one API and one dashboard to collect payments and send payouts in Cameroon and Nigeria.

One Pay connects your business to mobile money and bank transfers through a
single API. You collect from customers (**payins**), send money to anyone
(**payouts**), and see everything in one dashboard. One Pay works with
licensed payment partners underneath, so you integrate once and never
re-integrate when partners change.

## What you can do

| Country | Currency | Collect (payins) | Send (payouts) |
| - | - | - | - |
| Cameroon | XAF | MTN Mobile Money and Orange Money prompt | To any MTN or Orange wallet |
| Nigeria | NGN | Bank transfer, on a hosted payment page | To a registered bank account |

## How a payment works

**1. You create a payin**

Your server calls `POST /v1/payins` with the amount and the customer's
phone number.

**2. The customer approves**

Their phone shows a prompt with your business name; they confirm with
their PIN.

**3. One Pay tells your server**

A signed webhook, `payin.succeeded`, reaches your server within seconds.
You deliver the order.

**4. The money becomes yours to use**

The amount, minus One Pay's fee, moves to your available balance once the
partner confirms it, usually within minutes. Pay it out or withdraw it.

## Built for money

* **Amounts are whole numbers** in the currency's smallest unit: never
  rounded, never floating point.
* **Every write can be retried safely** with an
  [idempotency key](https://pay.onemarketc.com/docs/essentials/idempotency.md).
* **Every webhook is signed**, so you know it came from One Pay.
* **Test mode is complete**: the same API, with fake money and buttons to
  play the customer.
